Smartphone brand VIVO has signed an extended two-year contract with Swirl to offer livestream shopping experience to customers across India. VIVO India had conducted a pilot collaboration with Swirl as its live shopping partner. Last year, the brand ventured into livestream events, including the launch of their mobile phone X90 on a livestream.

Beyond India, livestream purchases have seen a 76 percent increase from pre-pandemic period to 2021, with Europe, the Middle East, and North America leading the growth in live commerce. Coresight Research CEO Deborah Weinswig predicts that livestream sales in the US could potentially reach an impressive $50 billion this year, surpassing the earlier estimate of $32 billion.

Livestreaming on owned websites and apps has proven to be a strategic move for companies, providing invaluable data and insights into consumer behavior, ultimately driving product innovation and improved marketing strategies.


Swirl is preparing for the launch of conversational AI-powered video-selling solution, which is expected to provide shoppers with an even more interactive and personalized shopping experience.
