SPPL India launches Thomson QLED 4K Smart TV with Google TV Support

French consumer electronics brand Thomson, launched a range of QLED 4K smart TVs running on the Google TV platform, with the onset of the festive season. It is the first to bring Google-licensed QLED TVs in India.

The QLED TVs, manufactured in India by Super Plastronics Private Limited (SPPL) come in three variants – 50-inch priced Rs 33,999, 55-inch priced Rs 40,999 and 65-inch priced Rs 59,999. The TVs will be available on Flipkart during the 'Big Billion Days' sale from September 23.

Being the first QLED TVs in India to feature the Google TV platform, the Thomson 4K TVs supports multiple adult and child user profiles, access to smart TV apps, personalised content, voice controls, smart home controls, and more.


The Google TV platform gives access to the Google Play Store with more than 10,000 apps and games including Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar, Zee5, Apple TV, Voot, Sony and more.

The TVs feature a frameless design and come with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ certification, along with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital Plus, DTS Trusurround support with 40W stereo box speaker. The TVs support dual-band Wi-Fi, features 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.
