Skyworth to join hands with QUAD for LED TV manufacturing

HYDERABAD: Skyworth India Electronics, a subsidiary of China-based Skyworth Overseas Development Company, is entering into a joint venture with city-based QUAD Electronic Solutions to manufacture LED television sets in Andhra Pradesh.

Officials of the two companies, led by Skyworth Overseas president Sun Wei Zhong and QUAD Managing Director Raminder Singh Soni, met state Information Technology Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah here this evening and discussed their business plans.

An official press release said the joint venture would initially manufacture 20,000 LED TVs per month.

The minister assured them of the government's support for establishing the TV manufacturing unit, the release said.
