Samtel ties up with IIT-Kanpur

NEW DELHI: Samtel group on Monday formalised its partnership with IIT Kanpur for display technologies. The group which is engaged in the business of picture tubes used for display products like TV and computer monitors inaugurated a prototype development unit at its research centre for display technologies at the engineering institute.

Satish Kaura, chairman and managing director, Samtel Group, said: “Today, we dedicated the Samtel Centre for Display Technologies to the nation. The centre is working on the next generation display technology, OLED, and we expect that the prototypes will be out by next year.”
