Q&Q Watches aims at pan-India expansion

Q&Q Watches, a subsidiary of Citizen Watch Co Ltd, Tokyo, is targeting a 100 per cent business growth in India in the next five years.

PANAJI: Q&Q Watches, a subsidiary of Citizen Watch Co Ltd, Tokyo, is targeting a 100 per cent business growth in India in the next five years.

Shuji Takahashi, Managing Director of Q&Q India, said the company intends to expand from south Indian states to pan-India level.

"We now want to target countries like Brazil, Russia, China and India," Takahashi said here today.

K Chandrahasa, another top official, said that company has a dealers' network in Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu; Goa is the latest addition; and by April this year, it wants to have presence in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Punjab.

He said the company wants to increase its outlets in India from current 150 to 300 in five years.
