Panasonic to focus on professional products in India

The company is eyeing 100% jump in sales of its professional product business to Rs 655 crore by this fiscal, said Panasonic India managing director (system sales division) Toru Hasegawa. The company till now has been growing the business by 40%.
The system sales division comprises of products like commercial displays, projectors, telephones, fax machines, EPABX, surveillance and security cameras, printers, panaboards & interactive boards, scanners, point of sale solutions and broadcast products. The division contributes 10% to Panasonic India's total revenue.
With an increase in demand of this business in India, Panasonic is expanding its product range and also launching new products in the market. As part of this, the company on Thursday rolled out its next generation high definition video conferencing for enterprises.
Panasonic India director (system sales division) Rizhkant Zha said the company will target the IT/ITeS, enterprise, manufacturing and healthcare industries and focus on bundling specific solutions to fulfil the requirements of various industries to make the video conferencing product most suitable for them.
