Oppo India appoints Alfa Wang as president

Smartphone company Oppo India has brought on board Alfa Wang as its president effective 1st March 2023, said a statement issued today. In his new role, Wang will lead the company’s business strategy and strengthen its commitment towards the Make in India initiative.

He joined the firm in 2008, and has been in charge of production, procurement, and administration. He has been with OPPO India since 2017, while spearheading the company’s manufacturing.

He will focus on supporting the firm to increase its synergies for innovation in the country, for India, and the world.


Outgoing president Elvis Zhou joined the company in 2020. He will now transition to a global role as Oppo overseas CMO and will oversee brand building, product marketing, and the overall communication of the company's business in overseas markets.
