Meta launches Ray-Ban Display smart glasses at $799, unveils Oakley Vanguard for athletes

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled a new lineup of smart glasses at the Meta Connect conference. The star product, Ray-Ban Display, priced at $799, is Meta’s first pair with a built-in digital screen. Zuckerberg called the glasses the “perfect way to expand toward superintelligence.” Meta also launched Oakley Vanguard, a $499 model aimed at athletes with Garmin and Strava integration, and unveiled upgraded Ray-Ban smart glasses with better battery and camera. While Meta is betting big on AI wearables, questions remain about consumer adoption and the company’s handling of child safety.
