I-T searches Haier offices in Noida, Mumbai and Pune

Income Tax Department is conducting searches at multiple locations in Mumbai, Pune and Noida, including the offices and promises of promoters of Chinese home appliance company Haier on Friday.

Officials said that the searches are in connection with a tax evasion and royalty payment.

Searches are already ongoing and officials refused to divulge any further details.


The company could not be immediately reached out to and will update the copy once ET get an official response from the company.
