COIMBATORE: Elgi Equipments Ltd (EEL), industrial air compressor major, has initiated a project to provide professional training to all its shop floor operators.
The objective of the Rs 2 crore project 'Caterpillar' was to build functional and behavioural competencies for the shop floor workers and to provide them with opportunities for growth Dr Jairam Varadaraj, EEL Managing Director, said in a release here today.
The training, in tie up with PSG college of Technology, would also offer a career path for the deserving employees as future shop floor leaders, he said.
