Dhanus Technologies plans to double revenue by 2008
Dhanus Technologies, the maker of the V-Tel world calling cards, on Sunday said it plans to nearly double its revenue to Rs 180 crore by the end of this year.
"With the booming value-added services market and planned expansion of our vehicle tracking service, we are bullish to nearly double our revenue by the end of this year," Dhanus Technologies Vice-Chairman S Muthukrishnan said.
The technology company currently offers value-added services like global calling cards and plans to launch new services such as international roaming.
"With the telecom market becoming saturated, value-added services will become a differentiator and major revenue generator," he said.
Besides, the company is also looking to extend its vehicle tracking service 'Telematics' to Europe, South East Asia, Middle East and the US.
The tracking services can detect loss and theft of the vehicle, provide real time positions for fleet managers, track mileage, routes and locate current positions.
At present, Dhanus works with 60 logistics and BPO firms for tracking their fleet and vehicles.
"We also plan to add another 500 companies by next six months," he added.
This system is specially useful for BPOs which faces the problem of employee security, he said.
The call centre managers can keep track of their vehicle using either voice or data communication with the drivers anywhere in the country.
The company offers services such as telecom and Telematics and has operations in India and the US.
