Carrier Corp to set up R&D centre in India at USD 50 mn

Air conditioning solutions provider Carrier Corp on Thursday said it will invest USD 50 million (about Rs 200 crore) to set up its global research and development centre in India.

NEW DELHI: Air conditioning solutions provider Carrier Corp on Thursday said it will invest USD 50 million (about Rs 200 crore) to set up its global research and development centre in India.

The centre is expected to come up in 2009 and would be the company's third R&D centre in Asia.

"Carrier's investment marks a new milestone in our growth in India and it will further strengthen our leadership position here," its President Geraud Darnis tols reporters.
