According to Alok Bharadwaj, vice president at Canon India, "It is a proud moment for all of us at Canon as we close out first decade in India. The digital imaging industry in India has a positive outlook and we are confident that the next decade will be as successful as the first."
Canon, which recently signed on Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar as a brand ambassador, is embarking on an aggressive communication program starting this month. It will be spending over Rs 30 crore towards brand building initiatives.
As a part of the 10th anniversary celebrations Canon will be embarking on a 100 city customer contact program through a Mobile Mini Expo across different tier 2 and tier 3 cities. It would also be announcing the launch of its first Digital Media Lab located at the School of Convergence in Delhi.
