Bose launches three headphones to its range

MUMBAI: Bose launched three headphones yesterday. The models launched were the QuietComfort 3 (QC3) Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones, the On-Ear Headphones and the In-Ear Headphones.

The QC3 headphones are equipped with noise reduction technology which was developed for 'mission-critical military applications and private and commercial pilots'. The enhancement of QC3 over QC2 is the fact that the former is smaller, more portable and sits on the ear lobe instead of 'around the ear'.

The second new model is the On-Ear Headphone that folds into a small carrying case. It joins the line of products that Bose used to call TriPort headphones. The In-Ear Headphones are a step-up from regular ear-plug styled headphones and have silicon tips that project sound into the ear.

Ratish Pandey, general manager, Bose India doesn't believe these products are meant solely for the upper segments as he said that Rs 5000 for a set of ear phones is not too steep a price. He said that the headphones will be marketed through their 12 retail outlets around the country and on their website as well.
