BHEL bags Rs 200-cr order from ONGC

State owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd on Thursday said it has won a Rs 200-crore order from ONGC for supply of spare and accessories used in oil exploration.

NEW DELHI: State owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd on Thursday said it has won a Rs 200-crore order from ONGC for supply of spare and accessories used in oil exploration.

It is the single largest, long-term contract from ONGC for supply of Well Head assemblies, X-mas Tree Valves and other critical spare and accessories used in the oil exploration, the company said in a statement.

Around 65 per cent of the order will have deemed export status, the statement added.

BHEL is winning the ONGC contract for the second time. Earlier in 2004, it had bagged such a contract from the oil exploration major.

The new order includes supply of over 500 sets of Well Head assemblies and X-mas Tree Valves per annum.
