BEL gets new marketing director

BANGALORE: Public sector company Bharat Electronics Ltd has appointed Naresh Kumar Sharma as its new marketing Director, a BEL released on Friday..

Sharma, who took charge from August 7, had joined BEL as probationary engineer in 1971. During his 36 years in BEL, he handled design as well as development control activities for the various radar equipment manufactured at the company's Ghaziabad unit, the release added.

Sharma would work on implementing marketing strategies to turn BEL into a global player in the field of electronics.

On the domestic front, he would help consolidate company's defence business while facilitating diversification into the civilian segment, the statement said
