Around 60 brands to showcase products at Home Electronics Show
Around 60 brands in the consumer electronics segment, will be showcasing their products here as the industry looks to tap buyers.
The Home Electronics Show (HES), a three day exhibition being organised by Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association ( CEAMA) in association with ITEN Media, between October 26-28, is targeting to attract two lakh visitors.
"HES 2012 will create a cost effective and unified platform to showcase products, capabilities and innovations to the Indian consumers," CEAMA President Anirudh Dhoot told reporters here today.
Indian electronics and appliance industry is pegged at USD 26.6 billion at present, growing at a CAGR of 16 per cent over the past five years.
"The show would provide the largest marketing platform in the country. It would provide an opportunity for the industry to engage with the consumers," Samsung India Deputy Managing Director Ravinder Zutshi said.
Products across consumer electronics, home appliances and digital lifestyle which would be displayed during the show include, computer hardware, digital imaging, electronic gaming, telecommunications and wireless technologies.
"A number of futuristic gadgets and breakthrough innovations will be on the display, the timing is deliberate as the festival season is a time when consumers spend on durables," CEAMA said.
CEAMA is an association of oraganisations in the consumer electronics and durables sector and comprises of domestic and multinational players.
