Areva T&D and GE announce strategic alliance

NEW DELHI: Electrical majors Areva T&D India and GE Consumer and Industrial India on MOnday announced a strategic alliance to focus on turnkey electrical solutions.

An official statement said that the alliance would focus on turnkey electrical solutions in the power generation, metals, mining, minerals and materials handling markets.

The objective of this alliance is to provide one-stop solution for customer needs like power distribution, control and automation.

"To this alliance, GE brings low-voltage and light products' expertise while Areva T&D brings proven expertise in the complete range of high and medium voltage products and systems, " Areva T&D India Country President and Managing Director Rathin Basu said.

President and CEO of GE Consumer and Industrial Ananth Ramaswami said, "The coming together of the two trusted industry leaders will directly benefit consumers by offering a comprehensive and competitive range of turnkey solutions for electrical system requirements."
