Aquaguard variant comes with space shuttle technology

MUMBAI: Eureka Forbes launched a storage water purifier which it claimed can disinfect bacteria and viruses.

Aquasure Galaxy is based on a technology used in space shuttles, the consumer electronics arm of the diversified Shapoorji Pallonji Group said.

The new product has been developed in technical collaboration with US-based Water Security Corporation (WSC), the company said in a statement here.

The technology, originally developed for Nasa, and which has been in use for the past three decades, kills germs and removes chemicals and other contaminants, it said.

Aquasure Galaxy, priced at Rs 2,199 apiece, can store 20 litres of water, the statement added.
