Amazon expands consumer electronics store with AmazonBasics

NEW DELHI: Ecommerce giant Amazon's Indian arm launched AmazonBasics, an expansion of its consumer electronics store which will offer digital and home accessories to customers, the company said in a press release on Thursday.

“The range has been designed to add value to our customers by offering high quality products at lower prices,” said Samir Kumar, VP-Category Management, Amazon India.

AmazonBasics will offer products such as Apple certified lightning cables, data cables for Android devices, audio video cables and adapters. The company has plans to expand its product line in future.

Products offered on AmazonBasics will come with a one-year warranty and will be eligible for expedited deliveries. It will also feature customer reviews and other information.

AmazonBasics has been made available in most of the ecommerce player's global marketplaces after its initial launch in the USA in 2009.
