Titan ties up with WWF, to sell watches on endengered species

Watch maker Titan and the World Wildlife Fund on Thursday signed an agreement to come out with watches on five endangered species of India.

CHENNAI : Watch maker Titan and the World Wildlife Fund on Thursday signed an agreement to come out with watches on five endangered species of India.
"The dials of these watches will be shaped like that of the tiger and four other species," Titan industries Vice President Global Business Head Ajoy Chawla said here.
The sale proceeds of these watches, priced between Rs 2,000-Rs 4,500, would be given to World Wildlife fund for its operations, he said.
The watches would be launched this September, he said. He said the number of exclusive retail outlets of Titan would go up from the present 265 to 300 by the end of the current fiscal.
He also launched Titan's 'Stambha" range of watches, priced at Rs 7,500.
