As part of its retail expansion plans across the country, Timex Group India Limited launched its first `Time Factory' store in Kerala.

KOZHIKODE: As part of its retail expansion plans across the country, Timex Group India Limited launched its first `Time Factory' store in Kerala here on Monday.

`It will be a one-stop destination watch store for mid priced to premium international watch brands', Timex President Salil Sadanandan told reporters after inaugurating the store.

Timex, which now has 54 such stores in the country, will open another 60 stores by the end of 2008, he said.

Noting that the Company was able to maintain double the average watch market growth of 10 to 15 per cent, Sadanandan said Timex also offered other brands like Opex and Nautica.

`Our focus is on developing watches which will tell more than time', he said, adding Timex had recently launched watches indicating temperatures, a technology which is not talked about too much in India unlike in many foreign nations.

It would open two Time Factory stores in Kochi by April next, he said.
