New Delhi: Sportswear brand Nike has launched a new footwear i-Pod kit which enables a person to keep a count of time and distance travelled and calories burnt while listening to music.
The Nike plus iPod sport kit is a wireless system that allows footwear to "interact" with an Apple iPod nano while running and the user would get information on the screen as well as a real-time audible feedback through headphones.
The kit includes an in-shoe sensor and a receiver attached to iPod nano model at select Nike and Apple stores across the country at a retail price of Rs 2,000. From now on, the company will manufacture shoes which can fit sensors of the i pod, a company statement said.
