NEW DELHI: Water purifier manufacturer Kent RO systems is planning to set up a new manufacturing facility to cater to the increased export market, as it has a target of its overseas business contributing Rs 100 crore to the overall revenues in the next two years.
The company has also set a target to capture 20 per cent of the Rs 700 crore domestic market for water purifiers in the next fiscal and expects revenues from the domestic market to touch the Rs 100 crore mark in 2007-08.
"We are targetting a market share of almost 20 per cent by the end of the next fiscal. Our revenues from the domestic market would touch Rs 100 crore by 2007-08," Kent RO Systems Managing Director Mahesh Gupta said.
The company has set up a plant in Roorkee, Uttaranchal with a manufacturing capacity of 1,00,000 units per year to capture a 20 per cent share in the domestic market, he said.
Kent RO is also planning to tap the overseas market especially the Middle-East region and South Africa and would soon set up a plant in Greater Noida to meet its export requirements, he said. "We would start the commissioning of our Noida plant after the Roorkee facility becomes operational next month," Gupta said.
"The strategic tie-up with Kent RO is aimed at providing our retailers and dealers with an additional source of income and better consumer relations," IOC Executive Director (LPG) Mrinal Roy said.
The company has launched a new water purification system and has signed bollywood actor Esha Deol to endorse the brand. Deol and the company's existing brand ambassadors Hema Malini and Ahana Deol would feature in its new ad-campaigns.
