Eveready Industries bags Rs 24 crore order from government bodies

KOLKATA: Eveready Industries India (EIIL) on Friday said it has received orders worth Rs 23.85 crore for supply of ceiling fans and smart LED street lighting luminaires from Energy Efficiency Services (EESL) and Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

The company has bagged a Rs 22.14 crore order for design, manufacture and supply of ceiling fans on pan India basis from EESL, a joint venture of four national public sector undertakings including NTPC Limited, Power Finance Corporation Limited, Rural Electrification Corporation Limited and Powergrid Corporation of India Limited and set up under ministry of power, government of India, the company said in a BSE filing.

Besides, it has also received a Rs 1.71 crore order from Kolkata Municipal Corporation for supply of outdoor LED street lighting luminaires.


EIIL is the market leader of dry cell batteries as well as flashlights. The company also markets LED, CFL, GLS lamps & other lighting products, rechargeable lanterns and devices, packet tea and small home appliances. It has an extensive distribution network of over 4000 distributors.
