Eureka Forbes to start selling AquaSure Galaxy from May

Eureka Forbes said that AquaSure Galaxy, which uses technology from US based Water Security Corporation will be available in the market from May.

BANGALORE: Eureka Forbes, the maker of water purifiers and vacuum cleaners on Thursday said that AquaSure Galaxy, a new storage water purifier which uses technology from US based Water Security Corporation will be available in the market from May.

The company, a part of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group and a is targeting a sales of 100,000 units in the first year with this product.

The low cost storage water purifier can disinfect the water of bacteria and viruses and removes chemicals and other contaminants for providing safe drinking water, said Aslam Karmali, CEO - Consumer Division, Eureka Forbes Limited.

""The purifier is priced at Rs 2199 and comes with one year cartridge service life to provide 3000 litres of safe drinking water for a year,"" the company said in a statement.

In 2009, the Tata group had launched a low cost water purifier under the brand name Tata Swach.
