BCCL to buy 3.5% in Refex Refrigerants

MUMBAI: Bennett, Coleman & Co (BCCL) has inked an agreement to pick up around 3.5% stake in the equity capital of Chennai-based Refex Refrigerants. “Providing products at affordable prices and being sensitive to the environmental concerns is what drives us at Refex,” said Anil Jain, MD, Refex, engaged in refilling ozone friendly refrigerants and marketing refrigerant products in India.

Commenting on the tie-up with BCCL, Mr Jain said, “We are in the process of building Refex as a national brand and BCCL can add tremendous value in our branding initiatives. While Refex is committed to being an exemplary player in terms of safety, protection of health, environment and sustainable development for its customers, BCCL has been committed to continuously redefining customer experience, Mr Jain said.

Refex is the only player in the country which has the distinction of refilling and marketing hydrofluorocarbons, which is a non-ozone depleting, environmentally safe refrigerant developed to replace chloro-flouro-carbons in several air conditioning and refrigeration applications.
