"Yes, we are selling 330 ml cans of Diet Coke at ₹70 now. The increase in prices of aluminium cans is unsustainable," an independent bottler for Coca-Cola said.

Severely impacted by a supply crunch of aluminium can prices, a fallout of West Asia war earlier this year, India's highest-selling sugar-free drink introduced larger 330-ml cans of Diet Coke at ₹50, compared to ₹40 for 300-ml cans in July this year.
A Coca-Cola spokesperson said in an email revert: "In line with Indian regulations, our recommendation to all trade partners is to charge the MRP printed on the pack."

"Pricing being taken by independent bottlers and retailers is beyond the company's control. The decision to hike prices is a direct consequence of demand for the zero-calorie drink having doubled over the last year," a senior beverage industry executive said. On quick commerce platforms such as Blinkit and Zepto, prices of Diet Coke in 330 ml cans continue to be sold at ₹50. However, users across cities have been extensively posting on social media platforms such as Instagram and X, that they're being charged ₹70 for 330-ml cans of Diet Coke, across offline stores and supermarkets.
