UTI-Infrastructure Fund declares 30% dividend

UTI-Infrastructure Fund on Monday declared a dividend of 30 per cent (Rs 3.00 per unit on face value of Rs 10).


MUMBAI: UTI-Infrastructure Fund on Monday declared a dividend of 30 per cent (Rs 3.00 per unit on face value of Rs 10).

This is the third and highest dividend declared by the Fund since its launch in March 2004.

Earlier, the fund had declared a dividend of 12 per cent in February 2005 and 20 per cent in August 2005, a company release said.

The record date for the dividend is July 3, 2006. The Net Asset Value (NAV) per unit as on June 28, 2006 was Rs 17.10 under the dividend option, it said.

The Fund invests in stocks of the companies, which form part of Infrastructure Industries.

"The fund's performance is linked to the overall economic growth of the country as the sectors in which the fund invests are directly linked to the GDP growth of India," said Sanjay Dongre, Fund Manager of UTI-Infrastructure Fund.
