New Google Pay app combines features of Google Wallet and Android Pay

Google Pay will combine the features of the already existing Google Wallet and Android Pay. The new app is presently only being rolled out in select countries such as the UK and the USA.

Google today announced the launch of a unified payment service app for its Google Pay platform.

Google Pay will combine the features of the already existing Google Wallet and Android Pay. The new app is presently only being rolled out in select countries such as the UK and the USA.

The app provides a simple interface where the user is allowed to store credit and debit card details, loyalty programs and other such linked payment services. On an Android platform, Google hopes this app will be the one stop destination for all its users' shopping and other payment requirements.

Google, through its blog, revealed it is working to find partners globally, both online and in physical stores. Google said its users will see better support both in apps, on websites and even at POS machines.

The Home tab on the new app gives users access to all information needed while shopping or making a transaction, such as recent purchases, searching for nearby stores and even access to other rewards.
