Singularity Growth appoints Sandeep Bapat as senior partner, co-chief investment officer

Operator-investor-led growth equity platform Singularity Growth on Tuesday announced the appointment of Sandeep Bapat as senior partner and co-chief investment officer (CIO).

In his new role, Bapat will be responsible for identifying key trends and eventual steady-state outcome for current and potential portfolio companies. With a focus on delivering returns for portfolio companies, he will have leadership responsibilities for investment activities at the firm besides serving as a member of the investment committee.

Bapat was previously a partner at Trifecta Capital and executive director at Hillhouse Capital, and has also worked at Blackstone.


He has over 15 years of investing experience in technology, consumer, and financial services sectors.

Bapat is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and IIT Bombay, and has been an investor and an advisor to companies like Swiggy, CRED, Atomberg and Auxilo Finserve.

"Our strategic focus will centre on key sectors including consumer brands, financial services, software, energy transition, and specialised manufacturing," said Bapat.
