S Garigiparthy appointed Lloyd's country manager for India

MUMBAI: Insurance market operator Lloyd’s of London Ltd has appointed Shankar Garigiparthy as country manager for India.

Garigiparthy will be responsible for market development, representing Lloyd’s in discussions with regulators and building business relationships as it seeks to grow its presence in India. "Shankar has been instrumental in helping Lloyd’s to grow in the Asia-Pacific region," said Kent Chaplin, Lloyd’s head of Asia Pacific.

"His in-depth knowledge of Lloyd’s and the insurance industry will be an invaluable asset as we seek to grow Lloyd’s business in India." Garigiparthy has worked extensively in Asia, the Middle-East and Europe.
