Ranbaxy promoted Religare Enterprises on Thursday announced the appointment of Kamlesh Gandhi as the country head to spearhead its investment banking business.

NEW DELHI: Ranbaxy promoted Religare Enterprises on Thursday announced the appointment of Kamlesh Gandhi as the country head to spearhead its investment banking business. With more than 34 years of experience as a merchant banker, Mr Gandhi has been instrumental in raising capital for more than 300 companies.

He has served as director on Board of Association of Merchant Banker of India from its inception and now has been re-elected as the director on its board. Prior to this assignment, Mr Gandhi worked with Centrum Financing as executive director.

Mr Gandhi was a founder director of Stock Brokers Underwriters Association since its inception in 1984 till 1990. He has been a non-executive director of the Dr Reddy’s Group for 15 years and of the Kirloskar Group for 15 years.

He is currently an independent director on the boards of Priyadarshini Spinning Mills and Bhagyanagar Metals (to be re named Bhagyanagar India).
