IRDAI nod for Allianz Jio Reinsurance and Kiwi General

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has granted Certificates of Registration to reinsurer Allianz Jio Reinsurance and general insurer Kiwi General Insurance on Monday.

This marks the final approval required for both entities to commence operations. Allianz Jio Reinsurance is a 50:50 joint venture between Allianz Group and Jio Financial Services. Kiwi General Insurance is backed by US-based private equity firm WestBridge Capital and Neelesh Garg, former chief of Tata AIG General Insurance.
