The merged entity will have more than Rs 6,600 crore of premium, over 600,000 digital partners and coverage across 98.57% of India’s postal codes, based on data as of March 31, 2026. The two companies have issued more than 20 million insurance policies since inception.
The business will operate under the InsuranceDekho brand, with founder and Chief Executive Officer Ankit Agrawal leading the combined entity. The founders of both companies will remain with the organization.
The transaction combines InsuranceDekho’s presence in northern and western India with RenewBuy’s network in southern markets, the companies said. The platform will distribute products from multiple insurers across motor, health, life and commercial insurance.
The combined business plans to integrate digital onboarding, policy issuance and AI-based advisory tools, while automating parts of the process for its network of partners.
InsuranceDekho has developed in-house AI tools that provide partners with real-time insurance-plan recommendations. The company said combining these capabilities with RenewBuy’s technology platform would strengthen its distribution infrastructure.
The companies did not disclose financial terms of the consolidation. The consolidation comes as insurers and distributors increasingly use technology and wider partner networks to expand penetration beyond India’s major cities.
