Indian VC firms invest in Kirusa of US

Nexus India Capital and Helion Venture Partners infuse 10 million dollars in US's mobile VAS provider Kirusa.

US-based mobile value-added services provider Kirusa has received 10 million dollars in funding from venture capital firms Nexus India Capital and Helion Venture Partners, reports Our Bureau in Mumbai.

As a result of the investment, Helion Venture MD Ashish Gupta and Naren Gupta from Nexus would join the board of directors of the company.

Kirusa provides voice SMS solutions to the telecom industry and holds patents for the same from the US Patent Office.

Inderpal Singh Mumick, chairman and CEO, Kirusa, said the financing would give the company resources to grow its sales operations and R&D activities in voice SMS.
