MUMBAI: Geojit Financial Services, a retail financial services company on Wednesday announced its offer of free brokerage on currency futures trading till the end of September.
This offer will come into effect from August 29 when the Currency Futures segment at NSE will go live.
���We feel that first-time investors would be encouraged to participate in this new segment if they do not have to pay brokerage initially. Hence we have declared this first-of-its-kind limited period offer,��� said C J George, Managing Director, Geojit Financial.
According to George, currency futures are unique instruments to hedge currency risk by people who get inward remittances/ exporters and in the case of those making outward remittances/importers.
