Franklin Templeton announces tax-free dividend

Franklin Templeton Investments (India) on Friday announced tax-free dividend of Rs six per unit of face value Rs 10 in its fund - Franklin India Prima Plus (FIPP)

NEW DELHI: Franklin Templeton Investments (India) on Friday announced tax-free dividend of Rs six per unit of face value Rs 10 in its fund - Franklin India Prima Plus (FIPP).
All investors registered in the dividend plan as on November 15 would be entitled for the tax-free dividend, the company said in a release.
"The judicious stock selection approach along with the buoyant markets has resulted in the fund turning in a good performance leading to this dividend. The fund has declared eight dividends in the last seven years," Franklin Templeton Investments (India) President Vivek Kudva said.
There will be a one-day book closure for the growth and dividend plans on November 16 and will reopen for fresh purchases and redemptions on November 17.
