Charles River Ventures to launch $150-m India fund
Charles River Ventures (CRV), the US-headquartered pedigree venture capital firm managing assets around $2.1 billion, is in the midst of launching $150 million India fund.
CRV is looking at setting up offices in Mumbai and Bangalore with relocation of two of its partners ��� Swapnil Shah and Devdutt Yellurkar ��� from US to India. An e-mail sent to CRV remained unanswered. CRV focuses its investments largely on three segments: communications & technology, enterprise software & services and media & entertainment. It typically invests anywhere between $25,000 to $5 million at the early stage and it can go up anywhere between $3 and $20 million over the lifetime of a project.
