BTS Investment Advisors Limited on Tuesday announced the launch of BTS India Private Equity Fund with $80 million fund for midsize companies to be invested in next 2-3 years.

MUMBAI: BTS Investment Advisors Limited on Tuesday announced the launch of BTS India Private Equity Fund with $80 million fund for midsize companies to be invested in next 2-3 years.
The private equity fund will invest upto $5 million in mid-size companies with high growth potential leading to 15 to 25 per cent equity holding, BTS Investment Advisors Managing Partner K Srinivas said.
However, the investment will be committed to unlisted companies mostly that are in expansion stage for a period between 3-5 years, Srinivas said.
The fund is looking to invest in upcoming companies from life science/pharma, manufacturing, engineering, IT and IT enabled services, telecom and entertainment sectors.
BTS India Fund have four anchor investors as well as participation from various high networth individuals from Europe and Asia.
The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (Seco) of Switzerland as the first anchor investor has made a commitment of $12 million.
Asian Development Bank(ADB) as co-anchor has committed $15 million. Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries(BIO) and International Cooperation and Development Fund(ICDF) of Taiwan are the other two anchor investors with an investment of 5 million each.
