MUMBAI: Private sector lender YES Bank on Wednesday launched its National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) Online, which is in addition to its already existing real time gross settlement (RTGS) platform available since the last two years to its retail customers.
Yes Bank customers can now seamlessly transfer money electronically to more than 28,000 branches in the country linked to the above RBI-approved remitting system using either facility, the bank said in a release here.
As per RBI guidelines, NEFT Online is recommended for funds transfer of up to Rs one lakh while bigger amounts will be remitted through the RTGS system to any branch branch connected to the above platforms.
The combination of these online facilities considerably reduces risk in payments and provides instant access to clear funds making third party payments very efficient, it said.
