Kotak Mahindra Bank launches 'Kotak Junior' in Saurashtra

Kotak Mahindra Bank today launched its 'Kotak Junior' saving accounts programme in Saurashtra region, a senior bank official said here.

RAJKOT: Kotak Mahindra Bank today launched its ' Kotak Junior' saving accounts programme in Saurashtra region, a senior bank official said here.

"The bank introduced the 'Kotak Junior' programme in Saurashtra region. The object of the new product is to encourage children to save from early age and providing them a platform to channelise their habit of saving money," Virat Diwanji Executive Vice President and Head, Branch Banking, said.

He claimed that the bank has opened nearly 10,000 accounts in different branches of the country since the 'Kotak Junior' was launched.

"We have 68 branches in Gujarat including 11 in Saurashtra region, while Mumbai and Delhi might have 69 or 70 branches," Diwanji said.

The bank has opened three more branches in Saurashtra region-- at Gondal, Dhoraji and Rajkot city in less than a year, he said.
