HDFC Bank ATMs now fully functional

Talking to Economictimes.com, the spokesperson said, "However, if some glitches remain, they would be resolved soon."

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank customers can now withdraw cash from the bank ATMs as the technical problem, which had affected certain operations of the bank on Tuesday, has now been resolved, said a bank spokesperson Wednesday morning.

Talking to Economictimes.com, the spokesperson said, "However, if some glitches remain, they would be resolved soon."

"The bank had experienced a technical problem yesterday in one of its system applications catering to its retail customers, affecting certain services. The bank's other systems like corporate banking, depository, treasury, credit cards etc, however, functioned normally," he said, adding, "still the bank deeply regrets the inconvenience caused to its customers, if any."

HDFC Bank customers across India, in fact, had a very unpleasant day on Tuesday as they failed to withdraw money from the bank ATMs and the net banking was down too. At some places, the ATMs disbursed limited money, leading one to believe that either there was a shortage of cash in their account or money had run short in the ATM itself.
