Cooperative Urban Bank launches IBM Smart cloud for core banking

PUDUCHERRY: The 58-year old Pondicherry Cooperative Urban Bank today launched the IBM smart cloud for its core banking solutions.

Chief Minister N.Rangasamy who declared open the renovated premises of the bank here today also rolled out the core banking solutions facility and said it would ensure customer oriented services in a robust IT environment.

He said that operational efficiency of the bank in a cost- effective manner would be ensured through the introduction of the IBM smart cloud for its core banking solutions.

He said this was the first time that a cooperative bank had been selected for the core banking facility in Puducherry.

The bank had a deposit of Rs 150 crores and lends Rs 120 crores as loans to different categories of borrowers enabling them to enhance their economic wellbeing.
