Barclays ATM network linked to National Financial Switch

Financial services provider, Barclays Global Retail Bank (GRB) on Monday said its ATM network has been linked to the National Payments Corporation of India's National Financial Switch (NFS).

MUMBAI: Financial services provider, Barclays Global Retail Bank (GRB) on Monday said its ATM network has been linked to the National Payments Corporation of India's National Financial Switch (NFS).

(NFS) is the country's largest network of shared ATMs, which connects over 55,000 ATMs across 38 banks nationwide.

The association would provide Barclays customers access to the ATM networks of other NFS member banks.

"The association with NFS will considerably increase our customers' access to ATM networks across the country thereby providing for a far more satisfying banking experience, especially for the vast number of our customers who are on the move," Barclays GRB India Director Consumer Banking, Suvrat Saigal, said in a statement here.

NFS is managed by NPCI and experiences an average of 2.7 million ATM transactions per day.
