AU Small Finance investigating potential data leak involving SaaS platform

AU Small Finance Bank said on Friday that it is investigating a potential data leak on a platform that holds limited data relating to its vehicle loan customers.

"AU Small Finance Bank is investigating a potential data leak involving a software-as-a-service platform managed and hosted by Salesforce," said the bank in an emailed statement.

The bank's own systems remain unaffected, and all banking services are operating normally, as per the lender


The incident comes amid heightened regulatory focus, with India's banking regulator pushing lenders to strengthen cybersecurity frameworks

Last week, State Bank of India reported a cyberattack involving 3,897 customer records containing personally identifiable information leaked on the dark web.
