In January, BMW Motorrad delivered a R 1200 GS Adventure to the Lego Technic studio. And after having fun, trying to build a replica with over 603 Lego pieces, the designers came up with a flying motorbike Lego model.

BMW was so taken with the Lego version, that BMW Junior – a training unit based in Munich – decided to create a full-sized concept replica, complete with front propellers and wings.

The flying bike went on public display for the first time at Lego World in Copenhagen last week, and will soon move on to be showcased at various BMW bases.

Not functional as of now
Though the flying bike is a concept and does not really fly, several components, such as the front-wheel rim modified to form a propeller, and BMW Motorrad's typical boxer engine, makes it as real as it can get.

The BMW R 1200 GS Adventure Lego replica was launched in January, as part of a challenging 603 piece build, reports the Daily Mail. It is the first Lego model to be created in cooperation with the motorcycle manufacturer.
