Mumbai: RPG Group is exploring the possibility of setting up a greenfield tyre plant in Madhya Pradesh, its chairman Harsh Goenka said on Thursday.

The group, which has a manufacturing plant in Jabalpur (MP), is looking at fresh investments in its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) business, Goenka said.

"We are looking at a fresh investment; we already have a plant there in Jabalpur. So we want to expand. And we are looking at a tyre plant possibility over there," Goenka told PTI here.

Earlier, he called on Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to discuss the group's expansion plans in the state.

When asked about the details such as capacity and investment in the proposed greenfield tyre facility, Goenka said that "we are working on that. Nothing is decided."
