Yezdi, BSA debut twin scramblers to chase India’s premium bike boom: Check prices, key features & more
Yezdi and BSA have launched two new scrambler motorcycles in India. The Yezdi Scrambler 350 and BSA Scrambler 650 aim to capture the growing premium scrambler market. These bikes offer versatility for city rides and light off-road adventures. The ...
The Yezdi Scrambler 350 has been introduced at an introductory price of Rs 1,99,950, while the more powerful BSA Scrambler 650 starts at Rs 3,24,950.
The launch marks the first time the two legacy brands have come together to simultaneously target India’s evolving rider base, those seeking motorcycles capable of navigating city roads, highways and light off-road terrain with equal ease.
The companies described scramblers as the “SUVs of motorcycling”, positioning the new launches as versatile, design-led machines aimed at both urban and adventure use.
Light vs powerful
At the entry level, Yezdi’s new 350cc scrambler is being pitched as India’s lightest in its class at 174 kg, built around an all-new liquid-cooled ‘Katar’ engine.
The company said its lightweight construction, short wheelbase and mass-centralised design enable sharper handling and improved control across varied riding conditions.
The BSA Scrambler 650, on the other hand, targets premium enthusiasts with what the company claims is India’s only 650cc single-cylinder engine in the segment.

Producing 45 PS and 55 Nm at 4,000 rpm, the motorcycle emphasises strong low- and mid-range torque — a key characteristic of traditional scramblers.
Its design draws inspiration from historic BSA models such as the Gold Star Catalina, A10 Spitfire and A65 Firebird, blending classic styling cues with modern engineering and India-specific adaptations.
Two scrambler choices
Anupam Thareja, Co-founder of Classic Legends, underlined the strategic importance of the segment, stating, "I have always believed that scramblers will redefine Indian riding culture the way SUVs redefined passenger four-wheelers. They are the SUVs of motorcycling. Scramblers are built for confident city-riding. But they are also agile and rugged enough to inspire you to explore terrain beyond roads on the weekends."He added, "Between the Yezdi 350 and the BSA 650, we have just defined what the Indian scrambler can be. The new Yezdi is designed to be your first crush with its unmistakable presence. A real scrambler designed around a tight core, this Yezdi is a taut, restless storm in stance and performance."
Boman Irani, Co-Founder of Classic Legends, emphasised the cultural roots of the segment, saying, "Yezdi has always belonged to riders with a flair for style and little patience for rigid labels. I grew up around these machines and got to see the underground scrambler movement myself. When I think of Yezdi, I think of scramblers."
He added, "The first Yezdi Scrambler made the format accessible in India; the new one expands what scramblers can become."
Scramblers, originally modified by riders in the 1940s and 1950s for mixed terrain riding, have seen renewed interest in India in recent years. Yezdi had earlier revived the category in 2022 with its factory-custom scrambler, and the latest launches aim to deepen that presence with more specialised, performance-oriented offerings.
The Yezdi Scrambler 350 will be available in four colour options: Legacy Black, OG Yellow, Rogue Red and Rally Blue, while the BSA Scrambler 650 will be offered in Raven Black, Victor Yellow and Thunder Grey.
