Electric two-wheeler maker Ultraviolette on Thursday launched the X-47 Venom electric motorcycle at a starting price of Rs 2.65 lakh, while unveiling its new VX-100 100V platform.

Bookings for the motorcycle opened on October 22 at 4 pm, with deliveries scheduled to begin in November 2026. The introductory price applies to the first 5,000 customers, the company said in a press release.

The X-47 Venom is the first motorcycle built on the new VX-100 architecture and features the company's newly developed UV LIGHTFURY motor and SRB-11 battery technology.

The motorcycle has an IDC range of 343 km, a peak power output of 30 kW (40 hp) and a top speed of 155 kmph. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 2.7 seconds and from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds. The company said the motorcycle weighs 180 kg, up to 20 kg less than the previous generation.

The X-47 Venom supports 12 kW DC fast charging, which Ultraviolette described as a first for an Indian electric two-wheeler. It also features a 1.6 kW onboard charger, cruise control and a seven-inch TFT LCD touchscreen.

Its safety and rider-assistance features include UV Hypersense radar intelligence, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assistance, overtake alerts and rear-collision warnings. The motorcycle also comes with an integrated front and rear dashcam, park assist and upgraded navigation integrated with Mappls.

The new VX-100 platform incorporates SRB-11 battery technology, which the company said offers up to 20% higher energy density and twice the cooling performance. Its thermal management system is designed to dissipate heat up to 50% faster.

The battery pack includes a pyro-fuse designed to isolate the circuit within microseconds when a critical fault is detected, alongside a battery management system that monitors cell voltage, temperature and current.

The motorcycle's UV LIGHTFURY motor is designed to reduce weight and energy losses while improving power density. Its next-generation motor control unit is twice as compact and offers three times the power density, according to the company.

Alongside the motorcycle, Ultraviolette introduced B-MAX, a reusable rider safety vest designed to provide protection to the collar, back, chest, sides and hips. The company said the vest offers 86% force attenuation and can be reused up to five times.

The X-47 Venom also features VIOLETTE A.I. connectivity functions, including movement, fall and towing alerts, remote lockdown and crash alerts. Ultraviolette said the motorcycle offers extendable warranty coverage of up to 8 lakh km.

The company plans to launch the X-47 Venom in Europe on November 3 at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy.

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and co-founder of Ultraviolette, said the VX-100 platform would provide a technology foundation for a new generation of products across segments and markets.

Niraj Rajmohan, CTO and co-founder of the company, said the new architecture, battery technology, motor and motor control unit had been developed together to improve power delivery, efficiency, thermal performance and safety.
